So yesterday, after my post about the cold-pressed iced coffee, someone commented that I didn’t need coffee filters - I could just use my French press.
Duh.
So I did that for today:
It worked out fine. The coffee tasted the same, but my paper towels didn’t soak up the majority of it, which is a major plus.
We are going away this weekend, and I had to pick up our rental car after the gym because I do all the work around here. I knew it would take a long time because Enterprise is slow as hell, as is my driving, so I ate this Kashi bar on my way there:
Being in a car always makes me feel so free. I mean, you can go anywhere, and you don’t have to worry about where the closest subway stop is, or whether you’re going to have to walk 42 blocks and develop near-fatal blisters, or if your arm is going to fall off from the six bags you have to carry. It’s really crazy! It also always makes me want to go through drive-thrus, just because I can, so I’m glad I had a snack.
And…I got the last parking space on my block, directly in front of my apartment! I have mixed feelings about this. I am sure it’s too good to be true and I’m going to get towed at some point today, so I keep looking out the window every five seconds. So far, so good.

I love being in my car; yet I hate long car-trips. Oh well, haha
Score on getting that last parking space!!
I am so curious about this coffee. I love coffee so very much, but I have to have sweetness and cream. I read somewhere that this tastes sweet and creamy, is this true? Will Jack be making the trip? Does he like to ride?
ahh.. my boyfriend has one of those. I think I may steal it this weekend for a cold press experiment. Have fun with the rental and where ever you plan on going this weekend!
Your posts continue to crack me up.
Thank You!
Oh yea, I know the feeling! If my parking spot is just too good, I always check the street signs like a million times to make sure I’m not going to get towed!
I like being able to be the passenger in cars and listening to my ipod while we drive along. so relaxing!
well you’re away ahead of me with the iced coffee business, I’ve never even attempted making my own
looks like it turned out good!

ooh, where you goin lady?
It is just the perfect start to the perfect weekend! See ya soon!!!
Love me some iced coffee….good luck with the towage situation. Apartment complexes can be so ticky about parking sometimes…
I love road trips as long as I’m not driving and I like the person who is driving. If those are not the conditions, HELL NO.
I’d like the think that the parking spot was karma. After being the responsible one and getting the rental car yourself, you deserved a break. Way to go

I don’t mind car trips. Probably because I never have to be in a car otherwise.

I’m not sure that it tastes sweet and creamy. I think maybe if you used a sweeter coffee it might? I added some milk, but I don’t use sugar in my coffee. Jack did make the trip and he doesn’t mind the car. He throws up sometimes when I’m driving, but not when Chris is driving. Not sure why that is…

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!!

Yeah, we are kind of tow truck magnets.

That’s not a bad idea, with the ipod.

Hope those nachos were gourmet.

Yeah, I just live on a street, but we have alternate side and it’s really annoying.

Luckily I like Chris alright. I did drive a bit of the way there though.

Thank you, I appreciate that
