On the way to yoga this morning, I grabbed one of these fruit leather things I bought at Trader Joe’s over the weekend:
I may or may not have fifteen new cavities because of this. It was insanely sweet, but I ate it anyway. It’s a good thing, too, because the woman next to me started snoring during relaxation pose at the end of class, and without the extra energy from this bar, I might have suffered the same fate.
This afternoon, I made this dessert out of banana, chunky peanut butter, and chocolate chips, and told myself it was a snack:
And that, my friends, marks the end of this blog. This was so good that I’m going to have to eat it every day from now on, and that just wouldn’t be interesting for you. I’m sorry.

I completely understand.
Youre gonna hole up with a million bananas and jars of peanut butter and bags of chocolate chips.
It was nice knowing (kinda) you.
Please have 47 of those ready for me when I get home from work.
I have neither bananas nor peanut butter nor chocolate chips in my house and that never bothered me until just now. Damnit that looks delicious.
Oh man, I NEEED that banana snack/dessert of yours - yum!!
Love your sense of humor, I enjoy reading all your posts. And your snacks give me great ideas.
Like the peanut butter, yogurt, and honey the day before- Love all those things, why not put them together?
I bet the sticky pb with the cold tangy yogurt is divine, what a great texture contrast.
Anything that combines chocolate, pb and banana has to be amazing. I seriously want a bite of that right now
PS you can not end the blog.
What a spectacular snack. Looks like I know what I’m doing with all the bananas I have.
Oh my God . . . that looks absolutely DELISH!
Haha, I thought you were serious for a sec. I was like what?!
This post made my day!
I am SO trying one of those. ASAP. I may even run to the grocery store just for the chocolate chips.
For a second there I thought you were serious about that being the end of your blog because I am very gullible and I became very concerned. But now I’m fairly sure that you were joking. At least I hope so.
I almost just wrote a dramatic over-the-top please don’t stop blogging post. And then I stopped and realized why I read your blog, and it’s because you’re hilarious.
I had to reread that last comment a couple times just to make sure it was a joke. Don’t know if I could handle not having a daily dose of your blog. And your great “snack” ideas. If only I hadn’t already brushed my teeth.
You are an inspiration…I made one “banana boat inspired by Ari” for a snack this afternoon (and it was delightful) and am now scarfing handfuls of kashi heart cereal and chocolate chips after drinking a half bottle of wine. Damn wine.
Oh, the deliciousness…. yep, that’s something to keep
It could also work I think with maybe a handful of raisins on top as a variation from choco chips…. or, kashi GoLean added on top also… now my head is spinning with ideas!
Yesterday I convinced myself that Fried Green tomatoes is a healthy snack.
Today I can actually feel myself getting fatter by the second.
