However, you’ll note that this is not a complete chip. It is a mere fragment. Everyone knows that chip, cookie, and cracker fragments do not count as food, nor do they have calories. It’s totally some kind of weird rule of science or something, and it is one of the reasons why, whenever I reach into a bag of chips, I always - always - go for the broken pieces.
The other reason is that Chris is less apt to notice that I’ve been swiping his snacks if I stick to the crumbly bits.
I also had to eat all of these strawberries because they were dangerously close to going bad:
I saved them. I’m nice like that.

Hooray for saving the strawberries :0D
I was unaware that everyone knew that fragments do not have calories! I always thought it was something only I knew, because whenever I go for the broken pieces, I inevitably get strange looks. I always just say I like the broken ones. If other people don’t realize the magic of food fragments, then we won’t have to fight over them.
I’m glad that at least one other person knows this elusive tidbit, though, because that makes it real.
An aside: one time I actually took an entire bag of chips and smashed them all into little bits to eat. It was the best zero-calorie bag of chips I have ever had.
That would have been the most tragic sacrifice of strawberries.
Ouuu sunchips *homer drool*!
Love your sense of humor. Deadpan!
That rule got me into a lot of trouble at the bakery I used to work at. Lots of broken cookies were eaten.
Too funny, because when I eat chips I look at the nutritional info and see how many are in a serving then I pick out broken ones so that I can have more chips than are specified in the serving size. It doesn’t actually help that much though because once I eat one serving I usually go back for another. Good job saving those poor strawberries.
I do the same thing with cookies. Especially right out of the oven. Instantly pick it up while it’s hot, and it’s bound to break. Whoops! Who wants to eat a broken cookie? I make the sacrifice for the greater good.

I could not work at a bakery. Plain and simple.

I do that too.

You are being generous, really.
That is too funny…I SO look in the bag and pick out the broken ones so I can have more! Isn’t that crazy how we work that out in our heads?
