Alright, back in action. Sorry for the little hiatus. You didn’t miss much though. Mesa Grill was AMAZING and I would like Chris to take me there every weekend, please. Unfortunately, I did not come out of the meal with a deal for my own cooking show, but there’s always next time. I’m not a quitter.
I also turned 25 yesterday. This basically just means that I can rent cars, which, let’s be honest, is more a present for Chris than it is for me. Guess I can kiss sleeping straight through long car trips goodbye. I’m working on a new strategy, though. It’s called running red lights. A couple close calls and I’ll be back in the passenger seat for good.
Anyway, back to the food. I ate this for breakfast, which is a little weird:
Salad from dinner last night, to which I added cucumbers and mushrooms. It also has sun dried tomatoes, lentils, feta and chick peas. Good stuff. And now that I’ve knocked all my veggies out first thing, I can eat chocolate for the rest of the day. It’s my birthday week.

A salad for breakfast sounds like a great way to get those greens in! Welcome back. =)
Welcome back to blogging!! So glad that you enjoyed Mesa Grill, since I’ve only heard great things about it. Keep workin’ on that cooking show, haha.
Love your vegetable-filled breakfast!! Yum!!
Oooh, your birthday week?? Definitely indulge in that chocolate then!
Happy Late Birthday!! That is a great way to be allowed to eat chocolate! hahah
Happy Belated bday!
Hey, happy birthday!
I’m pretty pumped about the car thing. The last time I rented a car it was 300 dollars because of all my “inexperienced driver” fees. But, as soon as I turn 25, I’ll be experienced and grow out of that thing I do where I just assume there’s no one coming if I can’t really see around the cars parked on the side of the street. FINALLY, I will have my x-ray vision.
You should go rent one today and test the waters.
Happy Birthday.
Glad you enjoyed Mesa Grill.
Happy Belated Bday… enjoy the bday week & chocolate haha!
Chocolate does not contain fat or calories when consumed during the week of your period or your birthday.
That’s a fact.
Happy Birthday.
I agree with Kristen! Same thing with cake!
Happy belated birthday!!
happy birthday!!! bring on the quarter life crisis!!
kidding.
and that salad looks great i always end up eating my leftovers (if i ever have them) for breakfast too.
all the cool kids are doing it
happy birthday! everybody deserves an entire week for their birthday. duh.
i was also excited when i turned 25 because i could rent a car. funny how i haven’t done it yet though. probably a good thing.
Dude, your birthday week ends after your birthday.
I can’t come home and feed you grapes in my boxers any longer!
hahaha, Happy Birthday!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIELLE!!
Happy Birthday!
That ‘weird’ breakfast of yours actually looks and sounds pretty darn delicious!
Happy birthday week!! I like to take multiple days to celebrate my birthday as well. I’m scared to turn 25 and be able to rent cars…
happy birfffffffdayyyyyyyyyyyy!!
Happy Birthday!!!!
Thank you for showing me your breakfast.
I feel better now. And it is all about me, after all.
Happy Belated Birthday! I agree the only good thing about turning 25 is having the last privilege I didn’t have before. Now I can do ANYTHING right? =) Oh yes and car insurance gets cheaper as we get older, so I guess I have that to look forward to!
THANK YOU for all of the happy birthdays!!

This was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. I couldn’t wait. It was physically impossible.
VG -
I will not rest.
Jenny -
I do that too! I also fail to notice traffic signs. Not anymore, though. I am MATURE.
Kristen -
That is a fact for sure.
Alexa -
I was just going to have a bite, but then it snowballed.
Betsy -
I probably shouldn’t either. I seriously am so out of practice it’s scary. Literally.
Chris -
Does not.
Kristie -
It was!
Chandra -
One day is just not enough.
Kiala -
I do this for you, you know.
Aimelina -
I don’t even have a car, so there goes the car insurance incentive.
Happy Birthday!
What is the dressing/condiment on your “breakfast” salad? It looks verrrrry enticing…
