Better late than never

Sorry, busy weekend. I had to watch Goodfellas, take Jack to the dog run so he could terrorize a Boston Terrier, and this afternoon, around three, I took a nap. Here’s last night and today.
Went to Mary Ann’s last night because it was borderline warm enough to eat outside and we decided to go ahead and shiver through.
Margarita:
Guacamole, which is by far my favorite part:
And a mushroom and spinach quesadilla with salad and black beans:
I couldn’t eat all of that, obviously. I had the salad, about 2/3 of the quesadilla and hardly any beans.
Then we had to go home. Either these margaritas are getting stronger or I’m getting old.
Today, on the walk home from the dog run we stopped and got the most disgusting frozen yogurt I’ve ever had. Well, I didn’t even have it, because it was too gross to eat. All icy and chemically tasting and just plain weird. So I had a Z Bar instead, but sorry, no picture - things were a little chaotic. I was distraught over the frozen yogurt and my wasted five bucks.
Lunch was a BLT with my favorite fake bacon and pretzels. I also had some plain yogurt with strawberry “spreadable fruit:”
I don’t know why my pictures are blurry. Every time I think I have this photography thing figured out, I get confused again.
Anyway, for dinner we had peanut noodles with vegetables and shrimp:
I would post the recipe, but to be honest, it wasn’t that good. Which sucks because there is a ton left over and I probably have to eat it for lunch tomorrow.
I’ll probably have an ice cream sandwich in a little while, too. GOOD NIGHT.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend, filled with great eats! Yum!
Enjoy your ice cream sandwich, and the rest of your Sunday night :0)
If you’re looking for good frozen yogurt, check out “Flirt” on 22nd between 2nd & 3rd? It’s delicious frozen greek yogurt, plain flavor…basically Pinkberry spin-off…but I think it’s better…and seems closer to you with respect to it’s location to Brooklyn. All sorts of fruit toppings, cereals, granola…etc…what-have-you.
Oh I’ve been shamed by the greatness of Mary Ann’s guacamole. Sigh…
You’re getting older. Finally.
What a surprise, the first time I see your blog you have mexican food at the top of the page.
yum quac is good …and
your dinner looks amazing!!
sorry to hear about your failed frozen yogurt… that’s the worst…
on the other hand your mexican dinner looks delish, especially the guac!
I had peanut noodles for dinner last night too. Mine were alright and the leftovers will be eaten today.
I LOVE guacamole! I recognize those pretzels- I like them too
i could live on guac. and in it. I could live in a barrel of guac.

I wish it was STILL the weekend.

I’ve seen that place. I’ll give it a try. I’m actually not a big pinkberry fan. But have you ever been to the yoghurt place on sullivan? Not frozen, but best greek yogurt ever.

It seriously is good. But if you don’t like guac, you don’t like guac. I’m not gonna hate on you

Seriously, this is the name you’re using? It feels weird to write back to that.

I don’t think that’s true at all. In fact, I think you waited until there was Mexican food so you could make this comment. You are sneaky like that.
Em -
Guac is good.
Lindz -
I know. I want it again right now.

What’s your secret? My sauce is always runny.
Brookem -
I LOVE these pretzels. Too much.

Hahaha can we be roommates?
