Ice cream makes me happy

I stopped into a grocery store that I never go to while walking Jack tonight because we are out of basically everything that falls into the “food” category. I was all disoriented and couldn’t find anything I wanted and stood for fifteen minutes reading peanut butter labels trying to find one without weird ingredients and then ended up at the ice cream freezer (this happens to me a lot, not surprisingly) and walked out with these:

I’d never seen Horizen ice cream before but my other choices were orange creamsicles, which make me want to gag, and nothing, which makes me want to cry. So I got these and they are really good. I highly recommend them. They are a little smaller than the normal ice cream sandwich, too:

I didn’t know they made ice cream sandwiches either - makes sense though, since they’re a dairy company, haha.

Ugh - I hate orange creamsicles, although everyone in my family seems to love them except me!

i seriously love (LOVE) ice cream sandwiches. that was always my pick when the ice cream truck came around to my house as a kid. which was once. we didn’t have ice cream trucks in cleveland heights.

Oh my, I can not keep my spoon out of the two tubs in my freezer! Maybe I should try the pre-portioned sandwiches… oops!

I too am a victim of standing in the aisles of a supermarket for more time than most people take doing a shop.

It’s not indecisiveness…it’s quality control.

Last night I sent my husband to the creamery in our neighborhood for a hot fudge brownie sundae.

We shared it of course, but it was the first sundae I’ve had in a long time and I wanted to punch his lights out when he ate the last chunk of brownie.

I had a touch of PMS.

They’re gross, right? I don’t get why people like them.

Those little soy ones are okay, if you’re into that kind of thing. Not sure if you’ve ever tried them.

I hope you’re making up for lost time with good old mister softee, then. We definitely didn’t have ice cream trucks where I grew up.
