The damage is done

First thing’s first: I forgot that I also had some more kale with my leftovers for lunch. I didn’t even burn it today:
Okay, then for a snack, I started with carrots and hummus:
But after a couple of bites, I decided to stop lying to myself and I had a cookie:
These are totally snackable. I don’t feel like I had a cookie for my snack. I feel like I had flax, and oats, and raisins, and whole wheat flour, and also sugar, and oil, and maple syrup, and okay, fine, I’m hungry again and I probably shouldn’t have had a cookie, but it’s too late, okay?

Since you had one of those cookies for a snack it makes me feel like I can too. I may make these tonight and have a cookie (gasp) as a snack tomorrow.
arielle- your kale chips look off the hizzy. you have to hook us up with the recipe! (i’m laurel’s friend by the way)
No damage done, in my opinion - those cookies are just BEGGING to be eaten!! :0)
I want the recipe for Kale Chips too!!! Where’s the love?
No use in denying a craving. =) Those cookies look too hard to resist!
Sometimes you just want a cookie… or cake. Nothing wrong with that!
but ari…those are healthy cookies. HEALTHY!!! and thus allowed any time of the day. duh.
Kale…discuss…
Life’s short. Eat cookies!
Seriously, one cookie won’t hurt anything, so don’t worry :o).
Plus, it sounds like a pretty nutrient-dense cookie. Yum!
You forced me to make (and consume) cookies today. Only I probably had more than 1. Or 5.
Oh, I would totally love to snack on your cookies all day!
Don’t feel bad. Enjoy it!
We all need to indulge from time to time. For some indulging once a month keeps them on track while others need to indulge everyday (Yours truly) to stay with it. Besides, that cookie does sound pretty nutrient dense (what CCV said above).

You can. But I wouldn’t advise it. Not because it’s bad to eat cookies, but because they aren’t so filling. Have a cookie and something else. Or put peanut butter on it. Oh man, that’s a good idea.

Okay, I didn’t make this up, but what I do is tear the leaves off into bite size pieces (wash it first cause it’s dirty, but make sure they are dry), toss them with some olive oil and salt, and then lay them in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake them at 350 for like 8 - 10 minutes - keep checking though because you want them to be crispy, but not brown.
I think kale chips are a love/hate thing. I love them. Chris said that they may have been the worst thing he’s ever eaten. See what you think.

They are, it’s true. I can hear them.

I am definitely not one for denial.

I know.

They are. Totally healthy. I might eat them for dinner tonight.

It’s a leafy green. Um…I don’t know much else. I’ve only ever eaten it the above way. But I know that it’s good in soup, like white bean and kale soup. It’s a little tougher than spinach.

I very much believe in that motto.

Five is FINE. Don’t worry. Six would have been too many.

Indulging once a month is not my style, either.
