Home sweet home

I cannot tell you how good my couch feels. It is heaven. The pillows are so luscious. Okay, maybe not. But it is very comfortable and I definitely don’t plan on leaving it for at least 12 - 14 hours.
I got home this morning, just finished half-reading 287 emails, and I may fall asleep in the next thirty seconds so I am both typing and blinking very fast to stay conscious. I took a red eye, during which I learned three important lessons:
1. It may seem like a good idea to drink three glasses of crappy red wine at a bar filled with bikers before take off, but in reality, it actually is not. I slept maybe an hour and a half total on the flight, mostly because I was simultaneously sweating to death and dying of thirst.
2. It may seem like a good idea to eat a very mysterious-looking veggie burger and french fries prior to take off, but again, it is not.
My stomach still hurts. But that could be the 400 packs of ketchup I used to cover the taste of the burger:
3. It is most definitely not a good idea to rely on one of those skeezy Brooklyn car services to pick you up at the Newark airport at 6:30 on a Thursday morning. They will not be there.
Consider these lessons learned by me.
Sorry, I wish I had more pictures but I couldn’t really be zooming in on my tilapia during a work dinner. But I did have some tilapia. And also a lot of $14 room service fruit. And one amazing piece of chocolate truffle cake. Also, countless sandwiches, salads, Clif bars and apples. And I even made it to the hotel gym twice.

I learn so much from you….ketchup really does hide the taste of anything. Those packets remind me of when I was a kid and my mom always used to take extra ketchup packets from restaurants and keep them in her purse. Because you’ll never know when you need some ketchup, and fast. Ohhhh mom. Hahaha
YAY! you’re back =) i missed my daily dose of your blog.
Welcome back!!! Yes, there truly is nothing like being home sweet home :0)
Ahh, great lessons!! So sorry that you had to experience some of them though, haha ;0) Love your wit, as always!
welcome home! hope you get to catch up on sleep & get back to normal
sorry to hear about all the bad experiences, but at least we get to learn something from it! i hope the chocolate truffle cake sounds yummy!
i meant to say i hope the chocolate truffle cake WAS yummy :/
Welcome home!
Haha… I don’t think it would have looked too good if you were taking pics of your tilapia during a work dinner either. =p
I’m so impressed that you made it do the hotel gym while away. I could never do that. You’re Awesome.
Your’re back!! I’m glad you got to workout while away. I’m a dork but I like going to hotel gyms. No one is ever in there working out and usually they are nicer than the gym at my apartment- which is huge but both treadmills broke in a little over a week. I think they bought the cheapest equipment ever made.

I used to do that with splenda, before I gave it up. I would buy coffee just so I could shove packets in my pockets.

Thanks!
VeggieGirl -
Yes, it would have been nicer to learn them from someone else. Oh well.
Lindz -
It was. I couldn’t even eat more than like 1/4 of it and I can usually kill some chocolate. It was very rich.
Romina -
Yeah, not really. It sucks because I have some good stories but I can’t tell them because I like my job and would like to keep it. Oh well.

Being all cracked out and confused about the time so you wake up really early helps a LOT.

This gym was really nice. Small, but nice. It was actually crowded in the morning, though.
wow sounds like a good trip
mmmm. Glad you are back. I missed you. haha
