Fourth Meal
February 20, 2008 by arielle
You know that Taco Bell commercial that urges people to eat a fourth meal? Well, that’s basically what Chris and I did last night. The portions at dinner were tiny and by the time we got done, we were still hungry. I mean, I’ve been to a lot of tapas restaurants, but these plates were miniscule (I know, not a word you hear very often. But seriously, I can’t think of any other way to describe it). We ordered five things, and I actually thought it would be too much food. In reality, I could have easily eaten it all myself, and Chris probably could’ve eaten twice as much.
We debated ordering more, but we knew that would just mean more tiny portions and more money spent, so we decided to just go home for some more food and dessert. As soon as we got home, Chris had a grilled cheese and I had carrots, hummus, and a couple Kashi crackers:
I’d really been looking forward to some kind of amazing chocolate-y dessert, so I warmed up another banana with about 1/2 a tablespoon of peanut butter, a few chocolate chips, and some plain yogurt. It was a big banana day.
This is a good little combination, even though I know it looks gross. How can you go wrong with banana, chocolate and peanut butter? You absolutely cannot.

The combination of banana, peanut butter and chocolate is probably the best ever!
Yes. I could not agree more with that statement.
our tapas looked like they were meant for small children or people who don’t like themselves.
Or people who don’t actually have stomachs.
This combination looks AMAZING. Great idea! I’ll have to try it.
I like this blog a lot and enjoy the way you write. And your dog is very cute! (the term “puparazzi” made me laugh out loud - I’m the same way with my cats! and my b/f just shakes his head at me)
On another note, I tend to have the same snacky problem, but since I’m at an office all day I can control it while I’m there. But at night I have to try a lot harder!
Thanks, Aimee!! We have been taking the pup thing a little far lately. We also call him a “cinnapup” because he’s brown and when he curls up to sleep he looks like a cinnamon bun.
Yeah, excessive snacking is much easier to control in public. That’s why I started this blog - in a way, it makes my snacks public.
