Couch Cubicle

I’ve been waiting all month for this new organic grocery to open near my apartment, and today it finally did!  I walked out of the subway station, saw it open, and nearly screamed.  I think Chris thought I hurt myself.  Unfortunately, we were on our way home from Trader Joe’s and carrying a million bags, so we couldn’t stop right then, but we just went by on our walk with Jack and it looks like it’s going to be great!  It’s just a small store, like a bodega, but it has oatmeal, quinoa, rice, couscous, etc. all in bulk, plus all kinds of fresh vegetables and organic dairy.  They are still putting everything together so it was a little empty, but hopefully the shelves will be full in a few days!  And, it has a smoothie bar.

Anyway, obviously that’s only exciting to me (and Chris), so I’ll move on.  We ran around all morning in the rain, and by the time we got to the grocery store we were both starving.  We split an Odwalla bar:

Sorry it’s a little blurry, it’s the camera phone (and maybe Chris’s photography).  This is a new kind I think, called Sweet and Salty Peanut.  It was really good!  I’d definitely get it again.

Then this afternoon, I mixed up my Fage/chocolate chip combo again:

This is maybe a third of a cup of Fage and about two teaspoons of chocolate chips.  Love this, you’ll be seeing it again. It’s really filling too.

Tonight I’m meeting two friends for dinner at an Italian place in Chelsea…they have really good pizza, I might have to get some!!
