Snacks, Snacks, Snacks

Did I mention that I wanted to name our puppy Snacks? That’s how much I love to eat between meals. Plus I thought it was a cute name for a dog…and other people agreed, so it can’t be that dumb. Unless they were lying to me.
Anyway, I try to eat meals that are on the smaller side so I can have lots of snacks during the day. For lunch today I had another sandwich and a handful of baby carrots. I actually ate the carrots at around 11am because I was hungry. One of the ways I tell the difference between real hunger and boredom is to only allow myself a veggie like carrots or cucumber slices if I want to eat at a random time. If that’s all I can have and I still want it, I must actually be hungry!I also try to plan out my snacks so I don’t eat my way through the cabinet trying to figure out what I want. Today I’m having some yogurt and a Fuji apple. They are the best:
I’m trying to keep it light because I’m going to eat an early dinner and then go to happy hour. Happy hour kind of loses its purpose when you work at home, but it’s still a fun thing to do every once in a while! My friend works near one of my favorite frozen yogurt places, Tasti D-lite. I think it may just be a NYC chain, but maybe I’m wrong? It’s all-natural, and only about 70 calories for 4 ounces! They have all kinds of flavors, but my favorite is, of course, chocolate. A temperature of 62° means it’s a yogurt kind of day, so to celebrate, we’ve already decided to meet there.
Let’s hope I make it through the rest of the day without snacking too much! I have a long walk planned with Jack before he has to go in his crate for a couple of hours tonight while Chris and I are both out. I hope the neighbors have plans, too, because he still really whines when we leave him alone! I’ll post later on about my night.
that’s funny about what you almost named your dog :0D
ooh, I LOVE fuji apples!!
Enjoy your evening out!!
Thanks! Gala apples are good, too, if you haven’t tried them!
Such a good idea to eat veggies when trying to decide between boredom and hunger!
haven’t tried them?? haha, I don’t think there is one type of apple that I HAVEN’T tried!! I eat at least one apple (or two) 365 days out of the year :0)
hahaha…there are still a couple I haven’t tried because I’m stuck on Fuji and Gala! I keep hearing about how good honey crisp are and I want to try them but I can never find them
honey crisp is available here, in abundance - hopefully you’ll be able to find them!! right now I’m quite keen on the Jazz apples.
